For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7
I’m Christina! I’m a wife, health educator, marathon runner and thru-hiker. I’m prone to wander – seriously, I can’t sit still!
I was born and raised in Olympia, WA, graduated from Montana State University – Bozeman, and for the past 4 years, my husband and I have been living an adventurous life in the beautiful state of Wyoming.
My motivation for this blog comes from 2 Timothy 1:7 – which calls us to be bold. Whether that’s facing fear, pursuing a seemingly unreachable dream, stepping out of your comfort zone or taking a leap; God equips us with passions, strengths and abilities to not only bless us, but to teach us and strengthen our faith in Him.
Running marathons and thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail are moments in my life where I’ve learned how to set fear aside, practice gratitude and grow in my faith. Pushing through the last miles of a marathon, fording raging rivers in the Sierras, walking 30 mile days with swollen feet, injuries halting my training – God went with me through it all!
After thru-hiking the PCT, I realized it’s not about what we do or what we’ve achieved – God could care less about that. It’s about being bold in pursuing a relationship with Him so that we may, with thankful hearts, be able to fully trust Him and fearlessly go where He’s called us to be.
The grandest, most fulfilling adventure is a lifetime spent with God! Let Him write your story. This is just one chapter of mine.
