1,710/2,650 miles – We made it to OREGON!!!!!!!!
I melt..All I can say is, we make a pretty great team. California was an intense, beautiful and challenging state. I’ve learned so much about myself and what I’m truly capable of. Things won’t grow if you don’t bless them with your patience. So thankful for this journey! 1 state down, 2 to go! And this is how we REALLY feel about California.I learned this stuff is called Bear Grass! It felt like we were in a Dr. Seuss book. This shirt of mine… I think it’s time to part ways.

Well, congrats to both of you for making it thru CA. Had no doubts that you would not make it as I’m sure anyone who knows you two would have the same thoughts.
I think I know the cause of Jake’s blister. That contorted face that he made at the CA/OR border has to be it. That is a face I have never seen from Jake in all of the years I have watched him grow from a diaper clad infant to the red bearded man he is today. That surely weakened his body and reeked havoc on his natural defenses ultimately leading to weakened skin and an inability to sense heat and friction in the area. Jake – be careful with that face – it’s really something to behold.
Enjoy Ashland, the zero day and spending time with Mom. Cheers from Camas!!!

Your comments are superb and I agree, that face.. surely the face distracted his ability to sense hot spots. I feel sorry for him.
