Hitchhiking is my least favorite thing about the trail. You’re so vulnerable waiting and waiting for a random stranger to pick you up. It’s a little stressful. We tried using a sign this time but no one would make eye contact with us! We’re sticking with the thumb method.Woo!How does this happen!? Amazing. Trees eating signs.Castle Craggs is a really beautiful place!Sweating like.. thru hikers.Jake’s feet have looked like this since Lake Tahoe. After being wet from snow and rivers, they had a chance to dry out and actually cracked!
Marathon runner and soon-to-be thru hiker on the Pacific Crest Trail.
