1,408.4/2,650 – 60 miles in two days!3:00am wake up. We covered a lot of miles before sunrise!We are so excited to see Mt. Shasta. It’s one step closer to our home state.A kind soul left a small water cache halfway on the rim. I was so thirsty! Thank you!Lava rocks are super hot. Albino Rainbow Trout! We got to watch the workers feed the fish. They went crazy!A kind lady who worked at the Fish Hatchery let us fill up our waters and then she gave us fresh cherries. I’m pretty sure she gave us part of her lunch.
When you guys start out so early, before sunrise is the likelihood of walking into wildlife a concern. Especially snakes.

We run into tons of kangaroo rats and sometimes skunks… eeek!!
